Sinema Siri is a Boondocks Lab initiative to create intimate, neighborhood-scale cinema spaces where local audiences can watch local stories.

Built in the neighborhood, for the neighborhood — the first room is currently in finishing phases. Twenty to forty seats, solar-backed projection, and a screen that puts local stories first.

    20–40 SEAT INTIMATE ROOMS

    Small rooms, big screen, nobody far from the story. Built inside existing neighborhood structures by Crazy Structures — a cinema you can walk to.

    SOLAR-BACKED PROJECTION

    Panels on the roof, batteries under the booth. When the grid drops, the film does not. Blackouts stop being an intermission.

    LOCAL STORIES FIRST

    Mitatini, estate docs and History Archive premieres before anything else. The neighborhood sees itself on screen first — then the world.

The nearest full-time cinema is a matatu ride away, priced for someone else's neighborhood. Sinema Siri puts the room where the stories come from — walkable, affordable, and programmed with the people in the seats in mind. Every screening is also a classroom: Academy students run projection, box office and archive.

HOW IT'S FUNDED

Honestly: no outside capital so far. The rooms are paid for the same way everything here is — Fiction Entertainment client work, farm income, and well-wishers who back the lab. The finishing phases are the expensive part, and we're funding them in the open.
