DIRT ROADS & TRACKS
Estate murram and bush tracks for walk-and-talks, driving plates and arrival shots. Dust, tyre tracks and thorn scrub included at no extra charge — because they are real.
THE WORKING FARM
Kienyeji chicken, sheep, goats and cows, plus the crop rows that feed them. Animal handling comes from the people who raise them — the herd is the estate’s, not hired-in dressing.
THE MITATINI SET
A Wild-West-meets-Machakos street facade built by Crazy Structures for our estate telenovela — pallet wood, stubbornness and real texture. Dress it your way between our shoot blocks.
STRUCTURES & SHELLS
The mini hall (interior cover set and holding) and the storage house, plus experimental walls in EPS, AAC and compressed earth brick — raw shells and half-built honesty for the right scene.
THE POND SITE
The fish pond is marked, not yet dug. When it lands, it lands on this page first — until then, treat every water frame as a conversation, not a promise.

COVER SET — THE MINI HALL
Our first build: an enclosed hall that doubles as an interior cover set, holding area and briefing room when the weather turns.
GEAR STORAGE ON SITE
The storage house keeps kit on the estate between shoot days — no daily load-in from Nairobi for multi-day bookings.
AN ESTATE TEAM, NOT A GATEKEEPER
The people who farm and build here are on the ground daily. Livestock moves, gates open, a hand appears when a C-stand won’t.
PRODUCTION GEAR FOR HIRE
Cameras, lights, mics and the green screen kit hire out from the estate inventory — rates on the /pricing page, one WhatsApp thread for the whole booking.
Boondocks is a working farm and an active construction site — not a serviced studio lot. Accommodation and camping facilities are in development; catering, heavy power draw and anything we do not own are arranged through our fixer before your shoot day, in writing. If a frame needs something we do not have, we say so on the scout, not on the invoice.

NO GATE FEES. ONE QUOTE.
Estate location hire is quoted per production — a two-person documentary and a forty-person commercial do not pay the same, and pretending otherwise would be the first lie of the shoot. Crew, cameras and gear come straight off the public rate card, same numbers as everyone else.
Need ground beyond the estate? Our location scout / production fixer covers permits, location agreements and local logistics across the region at KES 10,000 per day. When the right location turns out to be ours, the scouting fee disappears.
