This website provides informational and educational content about the estate and its five arms. Everything here is offered “as is”. We farm, we film, we build, we publish — and things change fast on a farm. Prices, dates, episode schedules, and goat headcounts on this site can go stale between sunrise and supper.

We work to keep everything accurate, but we make no warranty that any page is complete or current. If a detail matters to you — a price, a booking date, a module — confirm it with us on WhatsApp before you act on it.

The Academy is free educational content: tracks, modules, assignments, and AI prompts for learning filmmaking on the phone you already own. It is not a school in the legal sense — there is no certification, no accreditation, no diploma, and no examination council that would recognize us, yet.

What you make is yours. You own the films you shoot from our assignments, full stop. Share them, sell them, enter them in festivals. A nod to Boondocks Lab is appreciated but never required for your own work.

Quotes given over WhatsApp, email, or this site are invitations to talk, not contracts. A project with Fiction Entertainment (or any arm) becomes binding only when scope, deadline, and payment are agreed per project, in writing. For the avoidance of doubt: a WhatsApp thread counts as writing. It is how Kenya does business, and it is how we do business.

Client work typically requires a deposit before we schedule a shoot, with the balance on delivery. If you cancel, deposits are refunded minus work already done and costs already incurred — line by line, because we publish our costs anyway. If we cancel, you get everything back. That part is simple.

Farm products — meat, biochar, tomatoes, whatever the season gives — vary in availability by season, weather, and the moods of 120+ animals. Nothing on this site is a standing offer of stock. Farm-gate pickup is by appointment only, arranged over WhatsApp.

Event and farm-visit bookings are confirmed only when we reply to you on WhatsApp. A message sent is not a booking; a reply from us is.

Farm visits carry a working-farm waiver: the estate has animals, tools, uneven ground, hot kilns, and construction in progress. By visiting you accept the ordinary risks of a working farm, agree to follow staff instructions, and agree that children stay within arm's reach of their adult.

Academy materials are reusable for learning with attribution: teach from them, adapt them, run your own study group. Sinema Siri footage is different — do not re-upload our episodes to other channels or platforms. Embeds, shares, and links to @Boondockslab are not just welcome, they are the whole distribution strategy.

Three rules, because three is enough:

• > don't scrape the site for contacts or content harvesting.
• > don't spam people — or us — through our wa.me links.
• > don't misrepresent affiliation with Boondocks Lab. if you didn't weld it, film it, or raise it, don't claim it.

Break these and we will block the number, and the Lab Brain has a long memory.

To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, Boondocks Lab is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of this site or its content — including decisions made on stale prices, a module that doesn't land, or a goat that did not behave as the dispatch implied.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the fees you actually paid us for the service in question — which, for the free content that is most of this site, is KES 0.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any dispute that we can't settle over a WhatsApp thread and, ideally, a meal, falls to the courts of Machakos or Nairobi.

We version these terms like the manifesto: the “last updated” date at the top is the version. When the terms change, the change is announced on Build in Public before or as it ships — radical transparency applies to paperwork too.

Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version. Plain as that.
